Don’t Build Alone: Join a BUILD.local Event Near You

The Data Cloud is all about connections: building links between data sources, apps, and data users. But some of the most important connections happen in the Snowflake Community.

This is where you’ll find an active community of Snowflake users contributing questions and answers, tips and tricks, and plenty of ideas, advice, and code. Regional user groups, forums, documentation, community blogs, Snowflake University workshops—it’s all here. You’ll likely spot a few Data Superheroes, as well.

The upcoming BUILD Data Cloud Dev Summit features community members in several sessions, in line with its “by builders, for builders” motto. But this year there’s a new addition, designed specifically to give you more chances to learn from peers: BUILD.local events taking place in 15 cities around the world:

  • New York City, New York
  • San Francisco Bay Area, California
  • Warsaw, Poland
  • Amsterdam, Netherlands
  • Helsinki, Finland
  • Pune, India
  • Bangalore, India
  • Delhi, India
  • Melbourne, Australia
  • Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas
  • Berlin, Germany
  • Tokyo, Japan
  • London, UK
  • Boston, Massachusetts
  • Austin, Texas

BUILD.local is an in-person complement to the virtual BUILD experience, a community-led event series presented by your local user group chapter. It’s a chance to get to know your local Snowflake Community, to meet face-to-face and learn from one another about what and how to build on Snowflake, and to connect with people who are likely facing some of the same challenges that you are. There may be some Snowflake Data Superheroes in attendance, too.

Let’s make one thing clear: BUILD.local is not a BUILD watch party. You can join the BUILD virtual sessions during the day on November 15-16, then meet up in a real venue—with real food and drinks and real Snowflake users—at an evening BUILD.local gathering. (You can also just attend the BUILD.local events and catch up with BUILD sessions later).

Each BUILD.local session topic is determined by the local user group, spanning a variety of app dev, data engineering, data science, and architecture themes. For example, you can explore Iceberg Tables in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, connected apps in Delhi, and interactive Streamlit apps in Amsterdam.

Can’t make it to one of the events? You can check the Snowflake Community space for presentation materials after BUILD.local events are over. Even better, look up your regional user group and join other Snowflake aficionados for rewarding conversation, tips on best practices, and local networking opportunities.

You’re building amazing things—but you don’t have to build alone. The Snowflake Community and Snowflake user groups are an invaluable resource to grow your network, get real peer-to-peer advice, and stay up to date on the latest Snowflake features and product roadmaps. Experience it for yourself by registering for BUILD and  reserving a spot at a BUILD.local event today. We hope to see you there!
